Custom Clearances

Customs clearance work involves preparation and submission of documentations required to facilitate export or imports into the country, representing client during customs examination, assessment and taking delivery of cargo from customs after clearance along with documents.

Warehousing

The building or place where goods are stored is known as warehousing. There is a need to store for the product, until it is shipped to the customer.
A producer produces the product but all the product is not shifted quickly to the hands of the customers. It takes some time, there are also some other factors which are responsible for warehousing like utility and demand.

Types or Kinds of Warehousing :-

Private Warehousing
These are owned or leased by the firm. A firm has complete control over its activities. It is used when a firm has special storage and handling needs. A firm uses it when it product is moving to large areas. Private warehousing is used by the firm which has high volume of goods.

Public Warehousing
These are operated by the professionals. They provide the services to the large number of firms. They charge the fee from the firms. A firm may choose the warehousing, keeping in view the location and freight rates. There is no fixed investment involved in it. Fixed costs are widely distributed among users. In this case managerial control is limited.

Packaging

Packaging is the technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale, and use. Packaging also refers to the process of designing, evaluating, and producing packages. Packaging can be described as a coordinated system of preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use. Packaging contains, protects, preserves, transports, informs and sells.

Labelling

Labelling is any written, electronic, or graphic communication on the package or on a separate but associated label.

Transportation or moving of personal owned items such as residence/office moving is termed as personal effects.

Letter of Credit

Letter of Credit  L/c also known as Documentary Credit is a widely used term to make payment secure in domestic and international trade. The document is issued by a financial organisation at the buyer request. Buyer also provide the necessary instructions in preparing the document.

Export & Import Licensing

Export and Import License i.e. IEC (Importer Exporter Code) is mandated by the customs to identify what product has been imported/exported to/from India. For a temporary import/export, an ATA Carnet document can be sought.
